Damage Claim Survey

A Damage Claim Survey is usually done at the request of an insurance underwriter and is performed to assess the extent of damage to the vessel and to recommend repairs.  Once completed, the survey can then be used as an aid to obtain quotes for repairs.  If requested, the surveyor may also be able to determine the probable cause.  No sea trial is performed.
