ABOUT US
Dale Harman is the owner of Harman Marine Surveying in Cape Neddick, Maine and is a retired Navy Captain with 26 years of military service. He has spent his entire life around boats and has been working part time in small wooden boat construction and repair for 20 years.
Dale is a graduate of the Landing School in Arundel, Maine where he completed the Wooden Boat Building, Marine Systems and School of Marine Surveying programs. He also holds an Associate’s degree in Marine Industry Technology. He is member of the American Boating and Yacht Council (ABYC) and is ABYC certified as a Marine Systems Advisor.
While Dale’s boat building experience and current repair and restoration work is primarily focused on smaller wooden sail and power boats, he has extensive knowledge and experience with all types of construction, materials and systems.
Whether you are new to the world of boat ownership or are an experienced mariner looking for your next vessel, Dale will be happy to fill all of your survey needs. You will receive the same level of care and attention whether your survey is for pre-purchase, insurance, damage claim or appraisal. He will provide you with a detailed and comprehensive report, be available for follow up questions and work closely with you to discuss the content of the report so that you have a clear picture of the boat under consideration.
